EVIDENCE & GUIDELINES

The Guidelines Advisory Committee (GAC) recently joined Centre for Effective Practice to develop the Evidence and Guidelines Division. Building on the experience of the GAC, this division provides the evidence platform for all of CEP's projects and programs.

This division identifies and evaluates evidence based recommendations for best clinical practices; summarizes the evidence to highlight its usefulness and relevance to clinical decision making; and improves the availability and accessibility of evidence and clinical practice guidelines.

• Review, endorse, and summarize evidence and guidelines (see www.gacguidelines.ca)
• Systematically search the literature for relevant evidence, resources, tools and studies
• Facilitate the development of clinical practice guidelines using appropriate methodology
• Provide implementation evidence and guidelines to support programs and/or interventions
• Train/present/teach in the areas of clinical practice guideline appraisal and/or development
