Tools
Developing tools for providers is the heart of our work at CEP. These tools range from preconception health care to opioid management. We use a rigorous process built from a strong evidence base for each tool we develop. Using various methods of integrated knowledge translation and user centered design principles our end users of the tool are engaged throughout the process. This ensures CEP tools are 'developed by providers for providers'.

Academic Detailing
Academic detailing is a service-oriented educational outreach for front-line clinicians. It combines the interactive, one-on-one communication approach with the evidence-based information. For more information about CEP’s academic detailing initiatives, click here.
Education
CEP develops accredited education (online and in-person) to promote evidence and best practices and make them more available, accessible and relevant for providers.

Needs Assessment
CEP launched a Needs Assessment Survey in the Fall of 2014. The purpose of this survey was to engage primary care providers (specifically family physicians and primary care nurse practitioners) to determine topics of interest, how best meet their information needs and communication preferences. The results of this survey will help inform the development of clinical tools that are effective and relevant for primary care providers. To see what providers told us click here.
