The ultimate goal of the Clinical Practice Guidelines Institute (CPGI) is to improve guideline development methods, ensuring that participants have the knowledge and the capacity to apply evidence based principles in the development process.
This in turn will improve the quality of national guidelines and help to ensure that the best available evidence informs both policy-making and clinical decision making processes.
The Clinical Practice Guidelines Institute is a participatory workshop designed to close the knowledge-to-practice gap by equipping clinicians with the capacity and skills needed to produce, share, promote and evaluate evidence-based guidelines. Led by distinguished faculty members, the workshop employs a combination of lectures and large- and small-group learning activities.
