This tool will meet the growing demand for reliable information about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pH1N1 influenza. The electronic version available above also contains links to additional resources on a variety of issues relating to pH1N1.

Dec 14:

Co-administration of H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines

As of December 2009, seasonal flu vaccines and H1N1 vaccines are available to all individuals in Ontario over the age of 6 months.

The seasonal vaccine and H1N1 vaccine can be given at the same visit in different limbs. If the seasonal and H1N1 vaccines are not given concurrently, there is no minimum interval required between the H1N1 vaccine and the seasonal vaccine.

Nov 17: The product monograph for Tamiflu has been amended as of November 9th.  In the event that Tamiflu suspension is not available, a pharmacist can now compound a suspension from Tamiflu using either Cherry Syrup, OraSweet, or purified water & sodium benzoate.
