Opioid Manager

The Centre for Effective Practice, in conjunction with Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and the National Opioid Use Guideline Group (NOUGG), has developed a clinical support tool to assist healthcare providers to safely and effectively prescribe opioids for chronic non cancer pain. This clinical support tool is based on the Canadian Guideline for Safe and Effective Use of Opioids for Chronic Non Cancer Pain.

The Opioid Manager is designed to be a point-of-care tool which distils into one double-sided page essential information and advice from the Canadian Guideline for Safe and Effective Use of Opioids for Chronic Non-cancer Pain. If it realizes its potential it will be used routinely by healthcare providers who find it a practical tool to guide and track the initiation and monitoring of opioid therapy for chronic non-cancer pain patients. We have received feedback from users for over a year and have made edits to the Opioid Manager based on this feedback. Please download the new and improved Opioid Manager.
