TOOLS & RESOURCES

Opioid Manager

The Centre for Effective Practice, in conjunction with Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and the National Opioid Use Guideline Group (NOUGG), has developed a clinical support tool to assist healthcare providers to safely and effectively prescribe opioids for chronic non cancer pain.

Secondary Stroke Prevention Manager

A one page flow sheet to help primary care providers manage their patients who have had a TIA or stroke.

We have trained more than 200 providers and decision makers in guideline development and appraisal skills. We’ve worked with partners such as the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, Clinical Practice Guidelines Institute, HELPinKids and the Canadian Rheumatology Association. Contact us to learn more.

A Check Up on Clinical Tools

The Centre for Effective Practice launched a Needs Assessment Survey in the Fall of 2014. The purpose of this survey was to engage primary care providers (specifically family physicians and primary care nurse practitioners) to determine topics of interest, how best meet their information needs and communication preferences. The results of this survey will help inform the development of clinical tools that are effective and relevant for primary care providers.
