Hugh MacLeod is founder of Global Healthcare Knowledge Exchange. Hugh has a work record that demonstrates commitment to systems productivity improvement and a passion for leadership development. His interests lie in the areas of system/integrative thinking, sustainability, and organizational cultures that create high performance. Hugh was the CEO of the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI) from 2010 to January 2015. Prior to joining CPSI Hugh held a number of senior positions with the Government of Ontario. As associate deputy minister-executive lead Premier’s Health Results Team, Hugh was responsible for a provincial: surgical wait time strategy, critical care strategy, provincial primary care strategy, and the creation of LHIN’s. Hugh has also held a number of senior executive positions in British Columbia, including senior vice-president of Vancouver Coastal Health and senior vice-president of the Health Employers Association of British Columbia. Hugh is an active student of Leadership studies and currently holds the following academic appointments:  Adjunct Professor at Griffith University Business School in Brisbane Australia. Senior Fellow at the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management. Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia. Hugh has published over 100 articles and essays on healthcare transformation.
